Regular Season Round 15: Rostock - Walter Tigers 78-70

Very expected game when 11th ranked Walter Tigers (6-9) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Rostock (8-7) 78-70 on Sunday. Rostock made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Walter Tigers outrebounded Rostock 35-19 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Rostock's coach Milan Skobalj used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) scored 20 points and 9 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rostock. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Trier. Loser Walter Tigers dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Rostock will face league's leader Chemnitz on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Walter Tigers will play against Gladiators (#5) and hope to win that game.
