Rendsburg forced 20 ETV turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. American forward Pierce Cumpstone (203-94, college: Stonehill) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Christopher Geist (208-95) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American guard Tyseem Lyles (188, college: Mercy) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Lithuanian guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rendsburg maintains fifth position in North with 8-6 record, which they share with Stade. ETV lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 11 games lost. Rendsburg will face Westerstede (#7) at home in the next round.
