A very interesting game took place in Vienna. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (3-8) to seventh ranked Hallmann (5-6) 75-74 in the fight for the seventh place. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 16-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. Hallmann's next round opponent will be higher ranked Gunners Oberwart (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
