Regular Season Round 11: Banvit BK - Darussafaka 65-82

There was no surprise in Balikesir where 14th ranked Banvit (2-8) was defeated by twelfth ranked Darussafaka (4-6) 82-65. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Darussafaka outrebounded Banvit 46-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Toney Douglas (188-86, college: Florida St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points. The former international center Oguz Savas (212-87) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach Ahmet Caki allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Mexican point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for Banvit in the defeat. Darussafaka moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Sakarya BSB and Buyukcekmece. Banvit at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Darussafaka's next round opponent will be Sakarya BSB (#11) at home. Banvit will play against Besiktas in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
