There was no surprise when 9th ranked Neustadt TSV (6-8) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Stade (8-6) 84-77 on Sunday. Swingman Janis Stielow (193-95) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Reco McCarter (198-90, college: Campbell) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Stade players scored in double figures. Mubarak Salami (197-96) responded with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Brandon Roberts (185-94, college: Al.-Huntsville) scored 22 points. Stade moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Rendsburg. Loser Neustadt TSV keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Stade will face league's second-placed RSV Eintracht in Stahnsdorf in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Neustadt TSV will play at home against WSG Koenigs (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
