Regular Season Round 23: Palanga - Telsiai 89-91

The most exciting game of round 24 in the NKL took place in Palanga. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-best Palanga (15-6) to fifth ranked Telsiai (13-8) 91-89 on Wednesday evening. It was a good game for point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Juozas Balciunas (188-94, college: Trinity Christian) contributed with 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Telsiai players scored in double figures. American point guard Jalen Riley (182-93, college: E.Tenn.St.) replied with 31 points and 5 assists and center Aurimas Majauskas (202-93, college: Sam Houston St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Palanga. Telsiai moved-up to fourth place. Palanga at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Telsiai are looking forward to face bottom-ranked KTU (#15) in Kaunas in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Palanga will play at home against Perlas (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
