Regular Season Round 23: Silute - Ezerunas 102-86

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Silute and 12th ranked Ezerunas had identical 9-12 record. This time Silute used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Moletai 102-86. Silute players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Byron Sanford (183-93, college: Trevecca Naz.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Swingman Evaldas Dziaugys (196-96) contributed with 28 points for the winners. Center Ignas Lukosius (202-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and forward Arnas Berucka (196-97, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Ezerunas. Four Ezerunas players scored in double figures. Ezerunas' coach Tomas Purlys rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Silute. Despite that victory Silute went down to ninth position due to points difference, which they share with Zalgiris II. Ezerunas at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Taurages. Silute will play against higher ranked Delikatesas (#4) in Joniskis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ezerunas will play at home against the league's leader Suduva-Mantinga (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
