The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Taurages' (9-13) home loss to tenth ranked Gargzdu (10-11) 59-66. Vaidotas Peciukas (198-82, college: Hawaii) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Gargzdu's coach Simonas Serapinas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Deividas Keburys (201-90) answered with 7 points and 10 rebounds and forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Taurages. Gargzdu moved-up to eighth place. Taurages at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Ezerunas. Gargzdu will play against Ereliai Mazeikiai (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Taurages will play against KTU in Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
