Bottom-ranked KTU managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of thirteen consecutive losses. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked Jonava 102-99. KTU shot 61.8 percent from the field and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. KTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Matas Ragauskas (189-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points. Karolis Sapiega (196-99) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. KTU's coach Arturas Sukovas used entire bench in such tough game. International forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and American guard TJ Wallace (190, college: Pacific) added 26 points in the effort for Jonava. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KTU maintains fifteenth place with 3-18 record. Jonava lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Ereliai Mazeikiai. KTU will play against higher ranked Taurages (#12) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jonava will play against Perlas in Vilnius and hopes to get back on the winning track.
