Regular Season Round 12: Wels - Furstenfeld 75-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (1-12) defeated on the road 9th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (3-9) 81-75 on Saturday. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 24-15 charge of Furstenfeld Panthers, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian Marko Car (188-85) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists and American guard Joshuah Davis (188-92, college: Ft.Valley St.) who added 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Demonte Flannigan (201-95, college: Cleveland St.) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Benjamin Blazevic (204-95) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. Furstenfeld Panthers maintains tenth position with 1-12 record. It was Raiffeisen Flyers Wels' seventh loss in a row. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Furstenfeld Panthers will face higher ranked Hallmann (#7) in Vienna in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
