Rather expected game in Vienna where 8th ranked UBSC Graz (3-9) was defeated by sixth ranked Timberwolves (7-5) 104-95 on Saturday. UBSC Graz trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 21-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 95-104 at the end of the game. Timberwolves shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 63.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) who added 13 points and 14 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Cypriot center CJ Turman (206-95, college: Florida Atlantic) with 29 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and the former international Anton Maresch (191-91) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Timberwolves have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Timberwolves maintains sixth position with 7-5 record. UBSC Graz lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost. Timberwolves will face higher ranked Arkadia Lions (#3) in Traiskirchen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UBSC Graz will play on the road against the league's leader Gmunden Swans (#1) and hope to win that game.
