Bottom-ranked Bandirma Kir. managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged sixth-ranked Akhisar Bld 80-77. And what about a second win in a row after ...nine consecutive losses. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Akhisar Bld. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-90, college: Oregon, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 23 points. Guard Eray Akyuz (187-0) accounted for 11 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Bandirma Kir.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Tufan Onen (202-89) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Curtis Kelly (208-88, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) added 20 points respectively for Akhisar Bld in the defeat. Four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. Bandirma Kir. (2-9) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Yalova Bld and Edirne. Akhisar Bld at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Bandirma Kir. will play against higher ranked Bursaspor (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Akhisar Bld will play against Final Spor in Bursa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
