Regular Season Round 7: SBK Lviv - Vinnystkiye M. 50-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Vinnystkiye M.'s (3-9) road victory over 8th ranked SBK Lviv (2-8) 68-50 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 39-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Vinnystkiye M. dominated on the defensive end, holding SBK Lviv to just 4 points in fourth quarter. It was a great evening for Iryna Zhmurko (185-96) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Viktoriya Ilchyshyna (167-91) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side the former international swingman Krystyna Matsko (182-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Olga Krasnikova (182-84) scored 6 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Vinnystkiye M. maintains seventh place with 3-9 record. SBK Lviv lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Vinnystkiye M. will face league's second-placed Kyiv Basket on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SBK Lviv will play against Kozachka-KPU (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
