The game in Klaipeda was also quite interesting. Third ranked Vytis (15-7) played at the court of 6th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (12-10). Vytis defeated Neptunas-Akv. 92-76 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Neptunas-Akv.. Vytis looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Neptunas-Akv.'s players. The winners were led by center Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Paulius Beliavicius (196-88) supported him with 20 points and 6 assists. Even 13 points and 6 assists by Tadas Pazera (194-98) did not help to save the game for Neptunas-Akv.. Guard Erikas Kubilius (194-95) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vytis and five Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytis maintains third position with 15-7 record having just three points less than leader Suduva-Mantinga. Loser Neptunas-Akv. keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Vytis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Silute (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
