Regular Season Round 13: Akdeniz U. - Elazig 67-69

The most exciting game of round 13 in the TKBL took place in . This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Akdeniz U. (6-7) to fourth ranked Elazig (10-3) 69-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Akdeniz U.. They outrebounded Akdeniz U. 47-26 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian center Abigail Fogg (196-94, college: S.Dakota, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and guard Nihan Demirkol (172-92, agency: FlyBasketball) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American point guard Brene Moseley (170, college: Maryland, agency: LBM Management) responded with 41 points (!!!) and forward Sukran Capali (176-85, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Elazig moved-up to third place, which they share with Urla BLD. Newly promoted Akdeniz U. keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Istanbulgucu. Elazig is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Istanbul U.G (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Akdeniz U. will play against Edremit (#10) in Balikesir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
