Regular Season Round 11: Parklji - Hrastnik 82-73

Rather expected game in Bezigrad where 6th ranked Hrastnik (5-6) was defeated by fourth ranked Parklji (6-4) 82-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-73. Parklji outrebounded Hrastnik 50-31 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Milan Kovacevic (200-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Matic Urbas (188-93) helped adding 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Parklji's coach Nejc Kobale used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Gasper Ovnik (190-82) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Marko Cergic (203-95, college: Augusta) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Five Parklji and four Hrastnik players scored in double figures. Parklji have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Plama Pur. Newly promoted Hrastnik dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with LTH Castings. Parklji will meet at home Triglav (#7) in the next round. Hrastnik will play against Portoroz and hope to secure a win.
