Regular Season Round 18: Prometey - Niko-Basket 103-80

Leader Prometey delivered the fifteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Niko-Basket (8-6) 103-80 in Kamianske. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Niko-Basket. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 103-80. Prometey looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Maks Adam Konate (202-91) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Martez Walker (193-95, college: Oakland) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Sergiy Yurchenko (202-87) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Prometey (15-1) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first position. Loser Niko-Basket keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Prometey will again meet at home Niko-Basket (#5) in the next round. Niko-Basket will have a break next round.
