Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Gaziantep (4-7) lost at home to third ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (11-2) 77-71 on Saturday. Pinar Karsiyaka outrebounded Gaziantep 59-48 including 21 on the offensive glass. Gaziantep was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Inanc Hotamis (-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Emir Piskin (-0) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. Yunus Erenoglu (-0) answered with 25 points and 5 assists and Huseyin Yilmaz (-2) added 21 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Pinar Karsiyaka. They maintain third place with 11-2 record having just two point less than leader Banvit. Gaziantep lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Pinar Karsiyaka will face Selcuklu (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gaziantep will play against Istanbul BBSK (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
