Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Timisoara (3-7) lost at home to third ranked Sibiu (8-2) 99-87 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sibiu outrebounded Timisoara 48-28 including a 24-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman, agency: Court Side) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St., agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Sherwood Brown (193-91, college: FGCU) replied with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Timisoara. Five Sibiu and four Timisoara players scored in double figures. Timisoara's coach Miodrag Perisic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sibiu keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Medias. Loser Timisoara keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Sibiu will face league's second-placed Oradea at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Timisoara will play against Steaua B. (#7) in Bucuresti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
