ProB top team - Bayer Giants (13-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Giessen 46ers II (6-8) in Leverkusen 79-71. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Giessen 46ers II. Serbian guard Nino Celebic (191-91) scored 17 points and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Tim Schoenborn (193-90) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Bayer Giants' coach Hansi Gnad used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Tim Uhlemann (203-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Bjarne Kraushaar (190-99) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.
