There was no surprise in Adana where 8th ranked Ormanspor (5-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Botas (7-3) 71-64 on Saturday. Strangely Ormanspor outrebounded Botas 40-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Botas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Romanian forward Claudia Cuic (182-89, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA, agency: FlyBasketball) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and her fellow American import center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Botas maintains fourth position with 7-3 record. Loser Ormanspor dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Botas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Adana to the arena Adana Basket.
