A very interesting game took place in Bursa. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Bursa BSB (7-6) to twelfth ranked Mersin Uni (4-9) 72-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bursa BSB. Mersin Uni players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Shakeya Leary (189-90, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Ilkay Masa (186-84, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: IU Northwest) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and guard Burcu Erbas (173-88) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Bursa BSB. Mersin Uni maintains twelfth place with 4-9 record. Bursa BSB at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Mersin Uni's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Mersin Mersin Gelisim.
