Regular Season Round 19: Prometey - Niko-Basket 93-74

Higher League top team - Prometey (15-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Niko-Basket (8-6) in Kamianske 93-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Niko-Basket. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Niko-Basket's players. Forward Vitali Malchevskiy (203-87) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Maks Adam Konate (202-91) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. Point guard Mark Bodnar (185-98) produced 18 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Niko-Basket's coach Valentin Berestnev tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Prometey have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first place with 15-1 record. Niko-Basket at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Prometey's next round opponent will be Zolotoi Vek (#6) in Kirovograd which should be theoretically an easy game.
