Regular Season Round 13: Tofas - Anadolu Efes 69-85

An interesting game for Anadolu Efes (11-0) which played road game in against 3rd placed Tofas (8-3). Leader Anadolu Efes had an easy win 85-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tofas. They outrebounded Tofas 51-38 including 17 on the offensive glass. Anadolu Efes players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Forward Mert Camci (202-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Omer-Can Ilyasoglu (193-1) chipped in 19 points and 12 assists. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. At the losing side Emirhan Merdin (195-1) responded with 24 points and guard Eray Durmayaz (189-1) scored 15 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Anadolu Efes. They maintain first place with 11-0 record, which they share with Banvit. Tofas at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Anadolu Efes will play against Tarsus (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tofas will play against Arel Univ in Istanbul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
