Regular Season Round 19: KDPU - Zolotoi Vek 87-63

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Zolotoi Vek (5-11) was smashed by third ranked KDPU (11-4) in Kryvyi Rih 87-63 on Sunday. The game without a history. KDPU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KDPU outrebounded Zolotoi Vek 38-23 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (197-92) who helped to win the game recording 31 points. Power forward Vladyslav Frolov (202-98) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Olexandr Drobiazko (200-93) answered with 14 points and 5 assists and guard Stanislav Masalskiy (190-95) added 8 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Zolotoi Vek. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted KDPU maintains third place with 11-4 record having five points less than leader Ternopil-TNEU. Loser Zolotoi Vek keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. KDPU will face Mariupol (#4) at home in the next round. Zolotoi Vek will play against the league's leader Prometey in Kamianske and hope to win that game.
