The game in Bayreuth supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked EWE Baskets (9-2) played at the court of 5th ranked BBC Bayreuth (7-4). EWE Baskets did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of BBC Bayreuth. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by point guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 assists and power forward Nathan Boothe (206-94, college: Toledo) supported him with 19 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Five EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 8 rebounds by forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) did not help to save the game for BBC Bayreuth. Adonis Thomas (201-93, college: Memphis) added 15 points. BBC Bayreuth's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. EWE Baskets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Brose Bask. and ALBA. BBC Bayreuth at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. EWE Baskets will play against s Oliver Baskets (#13) in Wuerzburg in the next round which should be another easy win for them. BBC Bayreuth will play at home against Crailsheim Merlins (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
