Lietkabelis (#4) was upset in Alytus by seventh ranked Dzukija 85-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lietkabelis. The game was mostly controlled by Dzukija. Lietkabelis was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by swingman Matas Jogela (198-98) who scored that evening 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Dzukija's coach Andrej Urlep allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by Serbian guard Stefan Sinovec (195-88, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Lietkabelis. Paulius Valinskas (190-95) added 12 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dzukija maintains seventh position with 6-10 record. Lietkabelis at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Dzukija will play against bottom-ranked Siauliai (#10) on the road in the next round. Lietkabelis will play against Prienu Skycop (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
