Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 11th ranked Kayseri (3-9) was rolled over by third ranked Fenerbahce (10-2) 89-63. Fenerbahce shot 61.8 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for American guard Kelsey Plum (173-94, college: Washington) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 4 assists. International point guard Birsel Vardarli (175-84) contributed with 12 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Coach Valerie Garnier's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American Ify Ibekwe (187-89, college: Arizona) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: FlyBasketball) added 16 points and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Kayseri. Fenerbahce have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 10-2 record having just six point less than leader Adana Basket. Kayseri at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost. Fenerbahce's next round opponent will be league's leader Cukurova in Mersin and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kayseri will play at home against the league's second-placed Hatay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
