Regular Season Round 15: Steaua B. - Timisoara 70-85

The most interesting game of round 15 was a home defeat of 7th ranked Steaua B. (3-9) by sixth ranked Timisoara (4-8) who outscored them by 15 points 85-70 in the game for the sixth place. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-70. Timisoara outrebounded Steaua B. 47-35 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 19 rebounds. American guard Brandon Randolph (188-95, college: Utah Valley) helped adding 12 points. Timisoara's coach Miodrag Perisic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Croatian guard Ante Delas (200-88) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Skylar Spencer (206-94, college: San Diego St.) scored 6 points and 10 rebounds. Timisoara maintains sixth place with 4-8 record. Steaua B. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Timisoara are looking forward to face CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#8) on the road in the next round. Steaua B. will play against the league's leader Sibiu and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
