Regular Season Round 13: Naestved - Bakken 67-79

The game between Top Four teams took place in Naestved. 4th placed host Naestved (8-7) lost to first ranked Bakken (12-1) 79-67. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Tobin Carberry (193-91, college: LIU Post, agency: HMS) contributed with 17 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Bakken's coach Steffen Wich allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Jordan Mathews (191-94, college: Gonzaga) answered with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international Philip Hertz (195-92, college: Rio Grande) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Naestved. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. Naestved at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Bakken's next round opponent will be Svendborg (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Naestved will play against Randers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
