Very predictable result when second ranked Hatay (11-1) smashed at home 12th ranked Istanbul Uni (1-11) 80-49. Hatay dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbul Uni's 24. They outrebounded Istanbul Uni 47-31 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hatay players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for Belgian point guard Hind Ben-Abdelkader (172-95, college: California) who led her team to a victory with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Kazakhstan-Belarusian forward Katerina Snytsina (188-85) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Hatay players scored in double figures. Senegalese power forward Aminata Fall (193-91, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Two Points) replied with 6 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Yasemin Gunes (189-93, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) added 11 points in the effort for Istanbul Uni. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hatay have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record having just seven point less than leader Adana Basket. Istanbul Uni lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with 11 games lost. Hatay's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kayseri on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Istanbul Uni will play against Mersin BSB and hope to win that game.
