Regular Season Round 12: Beroe - Rilski 83-81

The most exciting game of round 12 in the NBL took place in Stara Zagora. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Rilski (8-3) to third ranked Beroe (8-2) 83-81 in the game for the second place. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Beroe forced 20 Rilski turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Conner Frankamp (185-95, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists and international forward Aleksandar Yanev Georgiev (203-90, agency: 011 Sports) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rilski's coach Ludmil Hadjisotirov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Beroe have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Rilski at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Beroe are looking forward to face Academic Sofia (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Rilski will play against Academik Plovdiv (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
