Not a big story in a game in Balikesir where 14th ranked Bandirma Kir. (2-10) was defeated by third ranked Bursaspor (10-2) 94-84 on Sunday. Bursaspor made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian guard Karlo Vragovic (192-89, agency: BeoExcell) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Recep Dogrusoz (192-86) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Eray Akyuz (187-0) with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!) and American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Five Bursaspor and four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bursaspor moved-up to second place, which they share with OGM Orman. Loser Bandirma Kir. keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Edirne and Yalova Bld. Bursaspor will meet Ankara D.S.I. (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bandirma Kir. will play against Final Spor in Bursa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
