Regular Season Round 14: Ludwigsburg - MBC 93-86

Date: January 2, 2019
Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (8-5) defeated at home 15th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (3-10) 93-86 on Wednesday. EnBW Ludwigsburg made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-90, college: Bowling Green) notched 19 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Kelan Martin (201-95, college: Butler) supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 20 points and 8 assists by American point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) did not help to save the game for Mitteldeutscher BC. Naturalized Polish swingman David Brembly (197-93) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg and four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 8-5 record. Loser Mitteldeutscher BC keeps the fifteenth place with ten games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet Telekom Baskets (#11) in the next round. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against the league's second-placed EWE Baskets (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
