Regular Season Round 25: Jonava - Gargzdu 92-88

An interesting game took place in Jonava where higher ranked Gargzdu (11-12) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Jonava (7-16) 92-88 on Friday. Gargzdu was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American guard Jalen Bradley (185-93, college: ORU) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists. At the losing side Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) responded with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Laurynas Lucinskas (201-93) scored 17 points. Five Jonava and four Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jonava maintains fourteenth place with 7-16 record. Gargzdu lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Jonava will face higher ranked Delikatesas (#6) in Joniskis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
