Regular Season Round 13: Yalova Bld - OGM Orman 88-86

A very close game took place in Yalova between Yalova Bld and OGM Orman. Sixteenth ranked Yalova Bld (3-10) got a very close home victory over much higher ranked OGM Orman (10-3). Yalova Bld managed to escape with a 2-point win 88-86 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of OGM Orman. Yalova Bld looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) nailed 32 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Mustafa Basturk (194-96, agency: 1x1 Sports) accounted for 14 points. Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and guard Sercan Topcu (188-85) added 18 points respectively for OGM Orman in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yalova Bld moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Ankara DSI. Loser OGM Orman dropped to the third position with three games lost. Yalova Bld will meet bottom-ranked Edirne (#16) on the road in the next round. OGM Orman will play against Socar Petkim (#7) and hope to secure a win.
