Very important is a road loss of Olimpia Brasov (6-7) against Satu Mare (9-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Olimpia Brasov was defeated by Satu Mare in Satu Mare 90-79. The game was mostly controlled by Satu Mare. Olimpia Brasov managed to win fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Satu Mare dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia Brasov's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Armenian center Brittany Denson (190-87, college: S.Florida, agency: Two Points) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian-American guard Promise Amukamara (173-93, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Satu Mare players scored in double figures. Satu Mare's coach Doba Marius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Carla Bartee (182-85, college: Mississippi) responded with 27 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Satu Mare will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpia Brasov will play against Phoenix Constanta (#2) and hope to secure a win.
