Leader Wolmirstedt delivered the thirteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 15th ranked ALBA-2 (1-14) 112-68 in Berlin. Wolmirstedt dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to ALBA-2's 40. Wolmirstedt forced 22 ALBA-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Garrett Jefferson (190-91, college: Cal.Baptist) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Guard Philipp Lieser (194-89, college: Cent.Washington) helped adding 19 points and 10 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. Wolmirstedt's coach Ralf Rehberger felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Dutch forward Quinten Post (212-0) with 30 points and 9 rebounds and American-Bosnian Abdulah Kameric (190-0) scored 21 points and 6 assists. Wolmirstedt have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Wolmirstedt maintains first place in North with 13-2 record. ALBA-2 lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Wolmirstedt will meet WSG Koenigs (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. ALBA-2 will play against Cuxhaven (#10) and hope to win that game.
