Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked s Oliver Baskets (4-9) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked SC Rasta Vechta (10-5) 75-65. SC Rasta Vechta players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Austin Hollins (196-91, college: Minnesota) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 4 steals. Naturalized Swiss forward Michael Kessens (206-91, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. American point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) came up with 9 points and 7 assists and the other American import point guard Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) added 14 points respectively for s Oliver Baskets in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for SC Rasta Vechta. They moved-up to fifth place. s Oliver Baskets lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with nine games lost. SC Rasta Vechta will play against higher ranked Brose Baskets (#4) in Bamberg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. s Oliver Baskets will play on the road against Mitteldeutscher BC (#16) in Weissenfels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
