Regular Season Round 15: Braunschweig - ALBA 83-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Braunschweig between third ranked ALBA Berlin (10-3) and eighth ranked Braunschweig (9-6) on Saturday night. ALBA Berlin was defeated by Braunschweig in a tough game on the road 79-83. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. Braunschweig looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The other American import guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-89, college: Fort Lewis, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Niels Giffey (200-91, college: Connecticut) added 19 points in the effort for ALBA Berlin. Five ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Braunschweig have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. ALBA Berlin at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
