Regular Season Round 15: OrangeAcademy - Elchingen 75-77

Everything went according to plan in Ulm where sixth ranked Elchingen (8-7) edged 9th ranked OrangeAcademy (6-9) 77-75 on Saturday. They outrebounded OrangeAcademy 39-25 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Elchingen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. OrangeAcademy was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Colton Ray (196, college: Co.Carolina) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Brian Butler (196-91) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Nicolas Moebus (193-98) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Austrian point guard Timo Lanmueller (190-1) added 13 points respectively. Four OrangeAcademy players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Elchingen moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Coburg and Loewen. OrangeAcademy lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Elchingen will face FC Bayern II (#8) in Muenchen in the next round. OrangeAcademy will play on the road against Coburg and hope to win that game.
