Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Klagenfurt: Worthersee Piraten (#7) and KOS (#10). Worthersee Piraten (7-6) won against visiting KOS (4-9) 91-79. KOS was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worthersee Piraten shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Slovenian forward Matic Sirnik (198-91) fired 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized Bosnian forward Maximilian Kunovjanek (199-87) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Four Worthersee Piraten players scored in double figures. Worthersee Piraten's coach Goran Jovanovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian center Jaka Stemberger (201-92) produced 26 points and 8 rebounds and Slovenian forward Erik Kralj (190-97) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Worthersee Piraten moved-up to sixth place. KOS lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Worthersee Piraten will face higher ranked Lions (#5) in Dornbirn in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KOS will play at home against the league's leader Rocks (#1) and hope to win that game.
