Another exciting game was between Targu Mures and Rapid Bucuresti where Targu Mures (9-5) beat Rapid Bucuresti (8-6) on the road with 18-point difference 68-50. The game was mostly controlled by Targu Mures. Rapid Bucuresti was better in third quarter 14-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Mihaela Maxim (167-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Raluca Matei (191-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Florina Stanici (170-82) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rapid Bucuresti. Targu Mures will play against Alexandria (#6) at home in the next round. Rapid Bucuresti will play against Agronomia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
