Regular Season Round 15: Naestved - Wolfpack/BMS 108-70

The game between second ranked BMS Skovlunde (3-9) and fourth ranked Naestved (10-7) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. BMS Skovlunde unexpectedly was crushed by in Naestved 70-108. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 22-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 108-70. Naestved outrebounded BMS Skovlunde 47-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Naestved looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for American point guard PJ Thompson (178-96, college: Purdue) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import Jordan Mathews (191-94, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 22 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. The former international forward Mathias Seilund (200-90, college: Fair Dickinson) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American center Deionte Simmons (205-96, college: Chicago St.) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for BMS Skovlunde. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Naestved moved-up to third place. BMS Skovlunde lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with nine games lost. Naestved are looking forward to face league's leader EBAA in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BMS Skovlunde will play at home against Stevnsgade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
