Regular Season Round 9: Herlev - Horsholm 65-86

Dameligaen top team - Horsholm (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Herlev (4-5) 86-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Herlev. Horsholm shot 66.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Horsholm especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 78.6 percentage. American forward Layne Murphy (185-94, college: Chicago St.) stepped up and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) chipped in 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Caroline Rasmussen (177-1) with 22 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and power forward Katrine Jessen (188-1) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Four Herlev players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Newly promoted Herlev keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Horsholm will play against SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round. Herlev will play on the road against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
