Regular Season Round 27: Palanga - Ezerunas 82-66

Very predictable result when second ranked Palanga (17-7) won against at home 12th ranked Ezerunas (9-17) 82-66 on Friday. Palanga forced 20 Ezerunas turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jalen Riley (182-93, college: E.Tenn.St.) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Aurimas Majauskas (202-93, college: Sam Houston St., agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five Palanga players scored in double figures. Palanga's coach Marius Kiltinavicius used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Arnas Berucka (196-97, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Remigijus Sugintas (200-87) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ezerunas in the defeat. Palanga maintains second place with 17-7 record having four points less than leader Suduva-Mantinga, which they share with Vytis. Loser Ezerunas keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Palanga will meet Neptunas-Akv. (#5) in the next round. Ezerunas will play against Perlas (#6) and hope to secure a win.
