Regular Season Round 27: KTU - Gargzdu 69-84

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked KTU (4-21) lost to ninth ranked Gargzdu (13-12) in Kaunas 69-84 on Friday. Gargzdu looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Simonas Serapinas (197-82) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 4 assists. Forward Laurynas Lucinskas (201-93) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Karolis Sapiega (196-99) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Adomas Sidarevicius (186-1) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for KTU in the defeat. Four KTU players scored in double figures. Gargzdu moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Silute. KTU lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Gargzdu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KTU will play against Delikatesas (#7) in Joniskis and hope to secure a win.
