Everything went according to plan when third ranked Jahn Muenchen (7-3) beat at home 8th ranked Rhein Main Baskets (2-8) 68-61 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-61. Worth to mention a great performance of Emily Bessoir (192-1) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and center Anna Heise (188-93, college: Maine) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Kailey Edwards (175-93, college: Boston Coll.) with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Bosnian power forward Anja Stupar (182-89) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Jahn Muenchen maintains third position in South with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Heidelberg. Rhein Main Baskets lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Jahn Muenchen will have a break next round. Rhein Main Baskets will play on the road against Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (#5) and hope to win that game.
