Very expected game in Moletai where 12th ranked Ezerunas (9-18) was crushed by sixth ranked Perlas (15-11) 97-64 on Saturday. Perlas outrebounded Ezerunas 44-23 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Karolis Giedraitis (194-98) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists and power forward Einaras Tubutis (207-98) who added 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Arnas Berucka (196-97, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 15 points and swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Perlas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Neptunas-Akv. Loser Ezerunas keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Perlas will face league's second-placed Vytis in Sakiai in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ezerunas will play at home against Delikatesas (#8) and hope to win that game.
