There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Leverkusen FB (4-10) beat at home 10th ranked Dortmund (4-11) 103-95 on Saturday. Leverkusen FB made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Leverkusen FB outrebounded Dortmund 46-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for center Christian Froehlingsdorf (210-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Center Adrian Brueckmann (203-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Felix Fuhrmann (175-90) replied with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Aaron Bowser (190-84, college: Ariz.Christian) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Dortmund. Five Leverkusen FB and four Dortmund players scored in double figures. Leverkusen FB moved-up to tenth place in West. Dortmund lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Leverkusen FB will face higher ranked Dorsten (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dortmund will play against the league's second-placed Hertener Loewen (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
